The Love Monster!

To make your own monster, gather some black paint, a small rectangle of cardboard and a piece of construction paper. Using the cardboard as a brush, stamp a horizontal line toward the top of the paper (the first two images are upside down and refuse to flip around).  Then add a couple open triangles- from the triangles continue the line to the bottom of the paper. Repeat on the other side and add a mouth.  Happy or sad your choice! Then stamp texture and go over your outside lines again to make them thicker.  Let it dry. Cut out two circles and a few triangles to add the eyes and teeth.  Use a paint brush to paint little black circles in the eyes and thick eyebrows. Done!

For an added touch, cut out the monster and glue to a contrasting color.

Students can choose from a variety of colors to create their monster.
