These owls came out a little funky, but they were super fun and exciting for the students! We made one line at a time with slightly watered down tempura paint on the right side and folded the paper to have the image printed on the left side. I got to use the term “line of symmetry” with these 1st and 2nd graders and they repeated it! Once dry, students will add color to their owls. This project was inspired by these symmetrical butterflies.
